(1) National honor may be awarded to the President of the country who has made a special contribution to increase Nepal's reputation in the international arena or to any Nepali citizen who has made a significant contribution in any field of national and international life.
(2) According to sub-rule (1) there will be no division of rank and the description and measurements of mandan, pralambika and patta of such honor shall be as mentioned in Appendix One Schedule-2.
